Albert Joseph Moore, 1841-1893, was an English painter, known for his artworks of languorous female figures set against the luxury and decadence of the classical world. An exhibition of his works was held at the Grafton Galleries, London, in 1894. Several of Albert Joseph Moore paintings are now in public collections throughout the United Kingdom, and a watercolor, The Open Book, in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. The British Museum in London has a group of his early drawings.
